MISSION COMMAND

MISSION COMMAND progressed with each run last term, culminating with a good win at Beverley in August.

A winner of two of his five races, winning a 5f Maiden in good style at Ripon by 2¾l, he then finished mid-division in a hot Nursery at Glorious Goodwood next time (6f). He ended the campaign with that win at Beverley, beating Educating Rita over 5f after travelling strongly throughout.

Trainer George Scott has spoken positively about the son of Acclamation and he looks sure to progress further this season and should go well on his return.

BELGRAVE

BELGRAVE made a favourable impression as a two-year-old making the frame in three of his four starts. Finishing second in a Maiden at Newbury before going close next time when only beaten ¾l in a York Novice behind Fondo Blanco. He ended the campaign winning in fine style by 4¼l at Leicester.

He finished down the field at Newmarket last month on his reappearance after being caught out wide and on the wrong side of the track. So that run can be forgiven and with the third that day, Invictus Gold, bolting up since at Newmarket the form has had a nice boost.

He’s well drawn and for the dangerous combination of Rossa Ryan and Ralph Beckett, he looks to have a big chance.

About Dark Horses

The Tote is widely renowned for value when it comes to outsiders. Our Dark Horses section brings you up to speed with the dark horses in action today, highlighting notable outsiders and horses with interesting profiles going into a race.  With around 30% of favourites winning generally, there is a significant number of bigger priced winners that we'll look to pick out on a daily basis.

Backing the favourites will inevitably increase your chances of a winner, but finding dark horses and outsiders which have been overlooked can certainly provide some more rewarding winning dividends.
